As painful as it is to admit Chelsea are a very well structured team , one of the best in Europe and completely outclassed us.
We didn't do ourselves justice for one reason and another and only Adrian kept the score respectable.
Chelsea have been fortunate to be able to pick the same players game after game so hopefully will suffer some severe injuries to key players soon. I would guess all of their players who starred yesterday have played more games this season than those we felt necessary to rest.

Rodney 'fucking' Marsh. Hahaha.

It's quite amusing and at the same time depressing that these piss stained old morons continue to get work.

Let's wait and see what team he picks for Sunday before we say how tactically astute he is. Anybody who thinks Nolan was a good pick for today needs their heads examined

Plus Carroll would have been better suited to challanging the arsenal centre backs as they're weaker. You're not going to hustle Cahill or Terry into making a mistake
Our best manager for a long time but you got it wrong today Samuel!

Just watched Spurs at Leicester.
How much luck are those cunts going to have this season?
Leicester hit the post, the bar and denied an absolute stonewall pen. Aaaahhhhh!!

Rodney Marsh just said on the radio that Allardyce was spot on. that no teams get any joy at Stamford Bridge and he was right to concentrate on the Sunday game

Glad he's concentrating on the FA cup.... gone right up in my estimation

Re: Chelsea v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
does everybody think Allardyce is a thick cunt?
It doesn't make sense.
He's a massively pragmatic man and that plays against him sometimes. But the reality is he's looking at 4 games in just over a week and what we can get out of it. WHERE ARE THE POINTS? The mere fact that he seems to think we can get points form Arse is actually a good thing.
In many ways I'd have loved us to go after todays game more but its not his way. We can still be 4th in a weeks time.
Lets hope so. He got us there in the first place.

Disappointing but we were well beaten by a very good team and it could have been more than 2-0 when we started to play.

Hats off to those who went today and I was glad to hear Terry's mum got some airtime.

Think you hit the nail on the head regarding Downing. Nobody was asking for gung ho style leaving us exposed, but what we offered until carroll and noble were removed from the pitch was painful viewing. With hindsight and all that, but I think not playing 451 and sticking to the diamond might have produced a more promising performance. It's not as if I let 4th place get to my head and expect to take points from the league leaders away from home, but i must admit I was expecting a little more than we offered. Gutted everyone was watching today as well. We only dropped two players really and were taken apart. I bet a few club will be thinking we're maybe not as good. All dissapointing. Especially with Tottenham and Arsenal closing the gap and Southampton leap frogging us.

i-ron.

I feel like a zombie too at the moment - working 13 hours on boxing day prft.

I dunno really - not happy with the selection, but if we go out a give it a good go against Arsenal and get something out the game I'll be more than happy, and this game will be long forgotten.
Thin line I suppose with supporters.

Re: Chelsea v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
It isn't so much the result that disappoints me but the manner of the defeat. Chelsea are the best in the league and at their place were always going to be tough to play. I disliked the starting line up and positions he put some in but mostly the lack of pressing which won us the game against City and not keeping ball by lumping it up to Carroll time and again. As soon as the subs were made things got better cox there was no long out ball in the same way and we pressed do much higher for most of the 2nd half

Re: Chelsea v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
Sorry I'm a zombie at the moment, I didn't even finish your post. So you even go on to say yourself you weren't happy with the selection! But you start with a moan about people who wanted a little more?!
